We just didn't get enough responses to know if it was worth buying food, drinks (horchata), the pinata, renting the mariachi band, and the pet donkey. Plus, hauling in the sand, the margarita machine, and burring tiki torches in our apartment didn't sound like such a good idea after we really thought about it.
It's okay though, don't feel bad. I mean, really, Cinco de Mayo is only like, my favorite holiday ever. And I guess I can drink horchata any time, even though it doesn't taste quite as good as it does on May 5. I just don't want you to feel bad at all...not one bit.
Maybe we'll hit up the Red Iguana tomorrow night instead....anyone want to join us?

Awww!!! :( How sad! I'm sorry. If I lived near you I'd totally come to the party! I hope you still have a good Cinco de Mayo-- You should still do something fun-- def go to the Red Iguana. I don't know what that is, but it sounds like fun!
Me and Jared are down, Homes. But, I've never been to the Red IGuana and I'm nervous about trying new places......
I'm sorry we couldn't come either!
But on a more positive note, the Red Iguana was voted #1 in the nation for their mole sauce. You'll have to try it and report back.
Goodness gracious you know how to make me homesick for Utah!!! Red Iguana is my absolute favourite Mexican restaurant. Last time we went Scott got the Carne Asada tacos... TO. DIE. FOR. I tried one of their moles (can't remember what it was called!) but it was fabulous. Mmmmm... my mouth is watering. Suddenly, the quesidilla I'm making for lunch, doesn't sound so exciting!
Sorry, Shan! Kurt and I wanted to come to your party but my Bro-in-Law is graduating tomorrow and having a party that night. I hope we get to hang out soon, though!

So sad you had to call off the party, it sounded like so much fun. I'm glad I am not the only one that has walked into the wrong bathroom, and I absolutely loved your story! Sounds like something I would do! You have a great weekend too!:D
It doesn't need to be Cinco De Mayo t rent a donkey. Maybe save it for the 4th of July!
I know Caitlin through where she works at Replicolor. She is fabulous!
Thanks for the comment! And it is a huge accomplishment, and I think I will go out and celebrate(hopefully) if I can get someone to go with me lol. Thanks again!
:( bummer!
